Michelle Trachtenberg Stands Up Against Bullying

She’s always been a socially-conscious celebrity, and Michelle Trachtenberg is featured in a new anti-bullying Public Service Announcement. The “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” babe gives a well-rounded, and well-thought-out speech regarding the responsibility of everyone to help prevent bullying. Michelle explains, “13 million kids will be bullied in the US this year. 3 million students are absent each month because they feel unsafe in school.” Additionally, Miss Trachtenberg and the rest of her Tinseltown peeps are rallying around the new indie documentary “Bully,” which hits theaters this weekend.

Always quite the well attended event each and every year, the stars gathered together for the 2012 Art Of Elysium Heaven Gala in Los Angeles, California on Saturday night (January 14). Held at Union Station, lovely ladies such as Rachel Bilson, Camilla Belle, Minka Kelly and Kirsten Dunst all took turns in the arrivals area before joining in on the black tie soiree festivities. Other gals getting prettied up for the evening affair included Kelly Osbourne, Ali Larter, Sophia Bush, Amber Heard, Amy Smart, Michelle Trachtenberg, Rose McGowan, Jamie Lynn-Sigler, Rashida Jones, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Julianne Hough, Jennifer Morrison and Brittany Snow. With couples such as Odette and Dave Annable, Jaime King and Kyle Newman and a pregnant Molly Sims with Scott Stuber turning up arm-in-arm, the slate of celebrity attendees was rounded out by Tinseltown fellas David Arquette, Elijah Wood and Matthew Morrison. As for the cause, the Art of Elysium has a mission directed at the goal of seeking to enrich the lives of artists and critically ill children.

The medical drama has a different point of view that reveals the lives of the staff at Mercy Hospital through the eyes of its own nurses and doctors. Nurse Callahan arrives back to Mercy from a military tour in Iraq while fellow nurses, played by a talented cast including Tratchenberg, live the everyday trauma and social problems encountered in the hospital.

Getting her groove on, Michelle Trachtenberg was at Clearasil's Ultimate Dance Competition in New York City on Tuesday (April 7). Held at the Hard Rock Caf, the young actress looked beautiful in a button dress with an adorable bow, topped off in gold jewelry and tights. Speaking with MTV at the event, the Gossip Girl" starlet explained that she wants things to get a little more dramatic and heated on the show with her character Georgina Sparks. [I want] to make out with Leighton [Meester]," she joked when they asked her who she would like to kiss next. I'm just kidding. Everyone's like, Oh, my God, you get to make out with all the boys.' And I'm like, You're totally keeping out all the girls.'" Trachtenberg continued about the make-out session, saying, There's only onscreen making out, and the only person Georgina has ever made out with is Dan." But here's where the drama comes into the play. Trachtenberg told about her devious character, explaining, There's definitely going to be a lot of trouble. And I think with any evil character, you sort of have to have a few redeeming moments, but I think the fantastic-ness about being an evil character is you never know if those redeeming moments are just a hoax as part of those grand evil schemes or if it's the real deal." As far as being a bad girl, does Trachtenberg like it? She loves it! I think it's definitely a lot more fun to play the bad girl than it is to play the good girl. She's great, and the words that are written for me are just so easy to make it really nasty and bitchy, and I have a lot of fun, and I'm evil, evil, evil on set, and someone says, Great job,' and then I go home."
