At seven and a half months pregnant I am fast feeling more like Shrek than Madonna, but it turns out the Queen of Pop and I have more in common than I think.While I clearly can't claim to be talking about her six pack, it turns out we're both fans of the work of veteran hotelier, Peter de Savery.He is the man behind the restoration of Skibo Castle in Dornach, Scotland, where Madge got hitched to Guy Ritchie, and also the historic Bovey Castle, one of England's premier luxury hotels set in the heart of Dartmoor National Park.

Ringing in the holiday by grabbing ahold of first place status, "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" shot to the number one spot at the box office over the Christmas weekend of December 24-26, 2011. The Tom Cruise spearheaded action caper pulled in .7 million on Friday while expected to garner a total of .8 million during its second weekend of release. Situated in the runner-up slot is the Guy Ritchie directed sequel "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows," as the Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr fronted film pulled in .7 million on Friday with an estimated weekend take of .7 million. Rounding out the top five at the box office in estimated weekend totals are the family friendly film "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked" (.8 million), along with the much-hyped picture "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" (.5 million) and theatrical newcomer "The Adventures Of Tintin" (.8 million). Also of note, the just-released Scarlett Johansson/Matt Damon movie "We Bought a Zoo" finds itself in the sixth position while on track to close out opening weekend with .6 million.

Ready for its blockbuster debut, "Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows" has made its way into theaters nationwide today (December 16). Under the direction of Guy Ritchie, the film stars Rachel McAdams, Robert Downey Jr, Noomi Rapace and Jared Harris. Also starring Jude Law, "Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows" acts as a follow-up to the 2009 book-based film. As for the sequel itself, the project sees Downey Jr and Law teaming up against criminal mastermind Professor Moriarty as they investigate the death of the Crown Prince of Austria.

A Malawi court official says Madonna won't know until Friday whether she will be allowed to adopt a 3-year-old girl Chifundo James, whose mother died shortly after her birth.
