In a recent interview, Ms. Banks discussed how she would handle trying to survive in a competition such as that of her new movie “The Hunger Games.” “First of all I would hide. I’d do a lot of hiding as long as possible and only come out at the very end to fight.” “And then I would just be really scrappy. I would fight dirty. That would be my main thing. She loves being a mom to her son Felix, and Elizabeth Banks recently shared how she came to the decision to use a surrogate mom to have her baby. The “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” star noted that she and her husband Max Handelman tried for years to get pregnant the old fashioned way, but to no avail. “It helps that other moms had said that once they had their babies, they forgot they were ever pregnant,” she explained in a recent interview. Elizabeth continued, “So once my focus became the baby and not the pregnancy, it was a very easy decision.” And it’s been a great experience for the whole family. “I have an amazing marriage and it will be long-lasting. I think I’m a good mom. I could run for office, no problem, because there are no skeletons in my closet. Not that I would run for office…”

Adding to her portfolio, Elizabeth Banks is the cover girl for the February 2012 issue of Lucky Magazine. And the “Role Models” babe opens up about how atypical she is when it comes to fitting in with her Tinseltown contemporaries. Banks confesses that her fashion sense isn’t exactly cutting edge. “I was kind of late to the party. I mean, I have always appreciated fashion. But I’m a girl who loves a bargain. I’ll shop at Forever 21 and H&M.” As for favorite designers, Elizabeth gushes, “I love Prada shoes. I cannot get enough of them. Or Valentino. I wore gold-studded Valentinos at the shoot today—they were amazing. I’m always impressed by the craftsmanship and beauty of shoes.” Growing up, she says, was always an adventure. “We played baseball and fixed cars, because that’s what Dad liked to do with us.” And it sounds like she’ll be passing that fearless spirit on to her son Felix. “My plan is that when Felix is 15, we’ll go skydiving together. I mean, the guy is fierce and fearless, and I’m hoping he stays that way. Because I want to be that mom.”

"The Hunger Games" Puzzle Poster Revealed!

The latest offering comes after a die=hard fan was able to put together an ambitious puzzle comprised of one hundred pieces strewn about the web on Thursday (December 15). Based on the first novel of the trilogy by Suzanne Collins, "The Hunger Games" stars Jennifer Lawrence as main character Katniss Everdeen. Also starring Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrelson and Lenny Kravitz, the Lionsgate picture will open in theaters on March 23, 2012.
