Charlize Theron Discusses Role in "Prometheus" Featurette: Watch Now!

In a new featurette for the film “Prometheus,” Charlize Theron dished about her dynamic character along with working on the amazing set. The 36-year-old actress talked about her character Vickers saying, “She really is in many ways the character that goes against everything that everybody else is there to do.” The “Hancock” actress added, “She desperately tries to control the situation she finds herself in. It just makes for really good tension.” Miss Theron also dished about working with director Ridley Scott saying, “He’s amazing, he’s my fantasy director.” “Prometheus” also stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba and Logan Marshall-Green and is set it hit theaters on June 8. The “Prometheus” actress carefully carried her adopted baby past the paparazzi and hopped into a chauffeured car, sporting a black blazer, white top, and black trousers with black sneakers. Ms. Theron recently told press that she’s overjoyed to be a mom, even though the paparazzi attention has been stepped up a bit. "Obviously I understand [the media attention]. I also feel like I want to do everything in the world to protect this very innocent little boy, who is going to have an awesome mom but she has a sucky job that everybody wants to know about."

One thing we’ll say about Kristen Stewart is that she really does scrub up well when she needs to. Last night was one of those occasions as she attended the world premiere of her latest film Snow White and The Huntsman. In fact she looked so glam last night that she gave her glamorous co-star Charlize Theron a run for her money. It looks like the girls co-ordinated their outfits last night as both of them wore sheer black gowns and oozed gothic sexiness. We wonder if they sat in front of the mirror asking who was the fairest one of all? Sorry we had to. The ladies were joined by Chris Hemsworth (who plays the Huntsman) on the red, or in this case, green grass carpet. Models Liberty Ross and Lily Cole, who also star in the film, attended. Lily chose to wear the black version of the Alexander McQueen dress that Pippa Middleton famously wore as bridesmaid. Other guests in attendance included Chris O’Dowd with Dawn Porter, Simon Webbe and Made In Chelsea’s Gabriella Ellis, Caggie Dunlop and Francesca Hull.

It’s one of the most anticipated films of the season, and “Snow White and the Huntsman” celebrated its world premiere in London, England today (May 14). Charlize Theron showed up at the Empire at Odeon Leicester Square sporting a super sexy black semi-see through sleeveless dress and slicked-down coif as she posed for the shutterbugs. Proud new papa Chris Hemsworth also made it out for the event- his lovely lady Elsa Pataky recently gave birth to their daughter India. Not to be outdone, Kristen Stewart looked fabulous on the red carpet, as did costar Sam Claflin and the film’s director Rupert Sanders. “Snow White and the Huntsman” - which is a twist to the fairy tale, as the Huntsman ordered to take Snow White into the woods to be killed winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen - is scheduled to hit UK theaters on May 30 and will show up here in the States on June 1st.

This was the first time the “Young Adult” beauty brought her little man out into the spotlight! Offering up an extended look at the Ridley Scott spearheaded effort, Twentieth Century Fox has debuted a new International trailer for "Prometheus". The just-debuted clip is a solid three minutes worth of footage coming from the Horror/Sci-Fi/Drama, which boasts an impressive cast consisting of Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender and Charlize Theron. As for the plotline, the film finda "a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race." Also starring Patrick Wilson, Idris Elba, Guy Pearce and Logan Marshall-Green, "Prometheus" is set to hit theaters on June 8, 2012.

We’re not sure who won what at this CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards in Las Vegas last night, and quite frankly unless it’s the Oscars we couldn’t care less either. We do however want to show these pictures from the event as Charlize Theron looked quite striking - mostly because of the amount of flesh she had on show. The actress wore a LBD with a twist; it was cut into panels held together by netting. That makes the frock sound like something Charlize sewed together herself at home, but obviously it was fancier than that. Brave, but fancy. What do you make of it?

It was the final night of the 2012 Cinema Con, and Caesars Palace was chock full of A-list celebrities for the Talent Awards last night (April 26). Picking up some last-minute tickets, Charlize Theron was spotted at the Los Angeles Lakers basketball game last night (April 17). The “Italian Job” actress rushed inside the Staples Center just before the Lakers tipped off with the San Antonio Spurs, though the home team ended up losing in the end. Of her forthcoming film “Prometheus,” Charlize noted that there’s lots of mistrust and mystery among the characters. “Yes, if we told you why, we’d have to kill you (laughs). There’s definitely a mystery, an uneasiness, we don’t really know each other. I play a character, Meredith Vickers, who works for the company that has sent out this spaceship into this mission. I think the environment and the circumstance lends itself to mystery. For myself, for my character, I felt like Ridley Scott really celebrated that. All of these little things started to happen where he’d bring me in on days that I wasn’t on the call sheet. I’d be like, ‘What am I doing here,’ he’d say, ‘I want you to stand in the corner and lurk.’ (Laughs) But I think for my character definitely, and all of the characters, towards the end of the film, there’s somewhat of a more personal connection to this journey that they’re taking, that you might not have seen in the first or the second act.” As for her experience on the project, Theron gushed, “It was amazing, I’ve always felt….out of Ridley Scott’s generation of filmmakers, there’s really a handful that are iconic. I think that for every actor there’s one of those guys that you always dream to work with, and Ridley Scott was that for me, SIR Ridley was that for me.”
