"Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close": In Theaters Now!

Surely one of the most anticipated cinematic offerings of the new year, "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" has just been released into theaters (January 20). In addition to Oscar winners Sandra Bullock and Tom Hanks, the Stephen Daldry-directed drama also stars Viola Davis, John Goodman and James Gandolfini. As for the movie, "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" tells the story of "a nine-year-old amateur inventor, jewelry designer, astrophysicist, tambourine player and pacifist who searches New York for the lock that matches a mysterious key left by his father when he was killed in the September 11 attacks." Of her emotional role in the film, Ms. Bullock told press, “The way that the story was told through the eyes of Oskar allowed me and so many people to grieve the event. I think that’s what this story is: the allowance to talk about the events that have happened in your life and grieve.”

Set to hit theaters on January 20, the Stephen Daldry directed drama follows "a nine-year-old amateur inventor, Francophile, and pacifist searching New York City for the lock that matches a mysterious key left behind by his father, who died in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001."
