Dear Gossips, Am heading tonight to an advance screening for Where The Wild Things Are. 7pm seems very, very far away. Can't wait. Reminds me of something Meryl Streep said last week at the ROM. They'd just played a scene from Angels in America, the one in which she's virtually unrecognisable as a rabbi waiting by the side of the road in a line of patient rabbis and the other two rabbis are Tony Kushner and Maurice Sendak.

Meryl was in LA last night with Amy Adams for the premiere of Julie & Julia in which she plays Julia Child, with the accent and the quirky mannerisms, a third summer in a row that she's featured at the box office, and that's Meryl Streep - just turned 60 and, as she's said recently, suddenly a box office draw.

Family, Friends Gather for Natasha Richardson’s Funeral

Paying their final respects, family and friends gathered together for Natasha Richardson's funeral at St. Peter's Church in Millbrook, New York on Sunday (March 22). Still in shock over the sudden loss, Natahsa's husband Liam Neeson joined their sons, Micheal and Daniel, as well as her mother Vanessa Redgrave and sister Joely Richardson for the day's proceedings. Also in attendance on what was a sunny, yet cold, spring day were big-screen stars including Uma Thurman, Meryl Streep, Ralph Fiennes and Holly Hunter. According to People magazine reports, the ceremony lasted a little more than an hour - with Neeson and the family driving to a nearby cemetery, where the burial took place under a large green tent. As previously reported by Gossip Girls, Natasha, 45, passed away on March 18 as a result of internal brain bleeding following a skiing accident in Canada.

Coming to a tragic end, Natasha Richardson has passed away after being taken off of life support following a freak ski accident in Montreal, Canada. After the incident occurred on Monday, Richardson, 45, was flown to a New York hospital before passing away on Wednesday afternoon (March 18). Family spokesperson Alan Nierob told press, Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time." Reports tell that Natasha was surrounded by her entire family during her final moments, also receiving visits from close friends Meryl Streep, Lauren Bacall and Joan Didio. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Natasha's family during these trying times.
