Let’s be honest, award season is really dull and if there were an award for the most boring award ceremony we think it would have to go to the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Agreed? Does anybody, aside from the select few people who actually won an award at last night’s industry bash, really care what happened? No, we didn’t think so, so let’s talk about something we’re actually interested in; Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Hollywood’s golden couple may have gone home empty handed, but they made sure all eyes were on them as they walked the red carpet at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles last night. And inside the party was much of the same as fellow guests witnessed Brad showering his other half with kisses while awards were being handed out and Ange also quashed rumours she’s expecting as she was seen sipping a large glass of red of wine. Now that’s far more interesting than who won the Best Actor award, right? Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have always maintained that they won’t get married unless marriage for same sex couples is legalised in all American states. Now, however, Brad has suggested that they’re about to sacrifice their principles and get hitched anyway. In an interview with the Hollywood reporter Brad said: "We’d actually like to [get married], and it seems to mean more and more to our kids. We made this declaration some time ago that we weren’t going to do it till everyone can. But I don’t think we’ll be able to hold out. It means so much to my kids, and they ask a lot. And it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment. “I’m not going to go any further. But to be in love with someone and be raising a family with someone and want to make that commitment and not be able to is ludicrous, just ludicrous.” Yes, just as ludicrous as it is for gay couples who have kids and love each other but can’t get married. Still, let’s not be killjoys – bring on the wedding!

Best Actress winner Kate Winslet opted for a monochrome ensemble, while white and pastel colours appeared to be a common theme with Kate Beckinsale, Charlize Theron, Heidi Klum, Sarah Hyland, Nicole Richie, Nicole Kidman and Jessica Alba all choosing similar shades of frocks. Now you might be surprised to hear that Madonna has slipped onto our best-dressed list, but credit where credit is due, she didn’t look half bad. Elsewhere Emma Stone, Mila Kunis, Meryl Streep and Natalie Portman also deserve a mention for their rather flattering fashion choices.

Angelina Jolie dazzles at 69th annual Golden Globe Awards…

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are often referred to as Hollywood’s golden couple and last night they lived up to their status when they arrived at the 69th annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills. Ange looked flawless in a floor-length satin gown by Atelier Versace, while Brad looked extremely slick in a black tuxedo by Tom Ford. As they walked the red carpet hand in hand, Brad told E! host Ryan Seacrest, “It’s a golden night for us.” We presume the actor was referring to his Best Actor nomination for Moneyball, which was also up for Best Motion Picture and Ange’s new movie, Land of Blood and Honey was up for Best Foreign Language Film. Unfortunately they lost out on awards in all three categories and went home empty handed.
