Broadcast and cable television networks waited all year patiently, and the time finally came Thursday morning for the Emmy Award nominations. And that wasn't the only news. A recent changed rule by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences increased the number of nominees in bigger categories so that new faces and series could also share the spotlight with Emmy veterans. 30 Rock" managed to get 22 nominations that included nominations for Tina Fey and Alex Baldwin. Mad Men" received 16 nominations that included nods for Jon Hamm and Elsabeth Moss. Comedy categories were picked up by Sarah Silverman, who was nominated for lead actress in a comedy series along with Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Tina Fey. Flight of Conchords" received nominations for outstanding comedy series while Family Guy" received a nomination for outstanding comedy-which is usually for live action shows. The Emmys will be handed out in Los Angeles on Sept. 20. Neil Patrick Harris will host the program. Now, Max will be joining his brother back at the Sheen house. Max has low birth-weight-related issues, so he was unable to go home right off the bat, staying in the hospital instead, tells Sheen's rep Stan Rosenfield. Continuing to talk about the baby's hospital stay, Rosenfield says, Premature babies are often underweight. Max made weight and went home. It's frustrating to be a parent and not have your family home with you. This is the last week of Two and a Half Men [which is going on hiatus], so Charlie will be able to spend some quality time with his kids." All Sheen could do was wait for baby Max to return home and remain in high spirits, saying, The weight issue is very common among infants who were born before reaching full term. I know a lot of people are not fond of hospital food; I just didn't realize that they started so young." Max and Bob are the couples' first children together. Sheen has daughters Sam, 4, and Lola, 3, with ex-wife Denis Richards, as well as a 24-year-old, Cassandra, from a previous marriage.
