“Anchorman: The Legend Continues” Debuts Teaser Poster

Everyone went nuts when Will Ferrell announced the sequel to his hit 2004 movie “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” back in March, and now there’s a new poster for “Anchorman: The Legend Continues.” According to a report, a teaser trailer for the forthcoming flick will be running as a preview with showings of the new Sacha Baron Cohen film “The Dictator.” “Anchorman: The Legend Continues” is said to star Ferrell along with Steve Carell, David Koechner, and Paul Rudd, as well as other new and returning characters. And since the movie won’t hit theaters until 2013, there’s plenty of time for promotional pranks, sneak previews, and bonus clips in the meantime.

He’s always up for a challenge, and last night (February 8) Will Ferrell stepped into the role of announcer at the New Orleans Hornets vs. Chicago Bulls basketball game. The “Anchorman” star looked to be thoroughly enjoying himself as he named off the visiting Chicago Bulls starting lineup along with ad-libbed descriptions of each player. For example, Will declared, "At forward, No. 5, he still lives with his mother ... Carlos Boozer," and, "And at guard, No. 1, his favorite movie is "The Notebook" ... Derrick Rose." However, it seems Will’s antics didn’t do the Hornets any favors- they lost to the Bulls with a final score of 90-67.

Frank the Tank would be proud of this new set of ads his real life alter ego shot for the classic American lager that have since gone viral. According to reports, Ferrell pitched the Pabst Brewing Company the idea himself, and agreed to do the spots unpaid on the condition that they aired locally. In the ads, he lampoons his status as a Hollywood celebrity while fishing in the Mississippi River near Davenport, Iowa and drinking a can of his favorite brew. He also engages in hand fishing for a "little piece of America," and extolls the virtues of Davenport as an "Old Milwaukee kind of town" ... one letter at a time.
